2012 Cycles 54 Cycling Team joins forces with
the Team for Autism Awareness |

Cycles 54 will be joining forces with the Team for Autism Awareness
(www.thejtfoundation.com)
for the 2012 Racing Season. The foundations was founded in
2006 with the goal to spread awareness about the Autism Spectrum
Disorder (ASD) and support families in our community dealing with
Children with ASD. In 2012 our main focus will be to purchase
iPads that the foundation can present to families in our community
with Children with ASD. The iPad, is an effective tool for many on
the autism spectrum. Its flexibility and portability offer some
additional advantages over laptops or PCs. The touch screen and
layout make the iPad more accessible for children with coordination
or learning difficulties; these children may find sliding and
tapping easier than either typing or writing. Moreover, the iPad can
be easily carried, and thus is helpful for calming and focusing
children who are on the go.
Cycles 54 team members look forward to helping the JT Foundation
reach its goals this year in raising awareness and generation funds
to purchase iPads in 2012.
